Hello I'm Mark Bassey and I'd like to welcome you

to the JCOL website which hopes to offer advice

and suggestions, plus support and encouragement to

all musicians - instrumentalists and vocalists alike -

for developing your skills in jazz improvisation

JAZZ CAROUSEL ON LINE

​

My online teaching programme know as JCOL (Jazz Carousel On Line) offers four sessions a week each lasting one hour.

​

Mondays 19.30 - 20.30 hrs  Blues-n-Grooves  -  blues, various grooves, bossas, New Orleans tunes

 

Wednesdays 10.00 - 11.00 hrs  Composition & Arranging  (regular practical assignments)

​

Wednesdays 11.00 - 12.00 hrs  Way-Out-Wednesday  -  less familiar tunes, typically more "contemporary"

 

Fridays 11.00 - 12.00 hrs  Friday-Songbook  -  more familiar jazz standards & American songbook
